A little bit about me...
Kathy Otero was raised in the Hudson Valley and spent much of her time growing up in the Bronx, where some of her family still resides. Kathy joined the Army at 19 years old and was sent to Ft. Hood, TX for her first duty station. She found it incredibly stressful to move somewhere she had never been, not knowing anyone in the area that could help her navigate the process of finding a place for her and her daughter to live. After being discharged from the Active Duty Army, she returned home to NY and joined the Army National Guard, later becoming a police officer and, furthermore, Police Sergeant. Kathy returned to her hometown of Newburgh in the Hudson Valley where she then bought my first home. She has since retired from the Army National Guard and will soon retire from active law enforcement.
Kathy aims to continue her passion for service and for helping the community as a Realtor with Academy Real Estate. Her time in the military and as a first responder service has given her a strong sense of integrity, attention to detail, and relentless work to ensure you meet your needs in your home buying process. Whether you’re looking for an investment property, a temporary place close to call home, or your forever home, Kathy will work tirelessly to find the home that best suits your needs.
